POEMS for SPECIAL DAYS

Over the coming weeks and months it is hoped that The Poetry Post Box will be an  occasional    meeting place for young poets, a place to grow,show, perform and, of course, post your work.

It's also a place for posting poems to mark special festival days. We are lucky to have  such                        a rich diversity of cultures in Glasgow, so finding special days to celebrate and write about                  should not be a problem.

NATURE in CITY

The Botanic Gardens are teeming with fascinating plant and animal life so there is no shortage of things to write about; bats, foxes, squirrels, ducks, and of course wolves.

Wolves ? Well, maybe there aren't any real wolves, but nobody says that you can't invent them. So, put crocodiles in the frog pond and monkeys in the monkey puzzle tree.

As you stroll through the Botanic Gardens let yout imaginations run wild.
